LOCATION: San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca. YEAR: 2016
Back in December, we were asked by GEPS to help build Doña Marguerita’s Chocolateria in San Dionisio. She had bought second hand adobe blocks and clay tiles from nearby neighbours and planned on building a Chocolateria for her brand of chocolate goods, Maroó Gabin. We began helping out in mid December and with the help of volunteers and local folk we managed to finish the project last May. The structure resembles a traditional adobe style house of Oaxaca with masonry foundation and adobe walls topped with a wood poles that along with reed suport the clay tiles.
